Carolyn Ross teaches Performing Arts, Choir, and English 8 Honors. She also currently serves as GVJH's site coordinator for Honors/GATE as well as the National Junior Honor Society coordinator. She is honored to be the recipient of a 2016 Educator Award and the PTA's 2008 Honorary Service Award.
Mrs. Ross received B.A. degrees in English and Music from Stanford University and an M.Ed. from U.C.S.B. where she won the Genevieve Haight Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in English. Mrs. Ross was awarded a Governor’s Teacher Fellowship in 2001 after which she taught developmental reading and theatre arts at La Cumbre Junior High School. She has since taught at Dos Pueblos High School and is currently in her eleventh year teaching at Goleta Valley Junior High.
